Eye Heroes Global (EHG) is a certified 501(c)(3) youth led nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children’s vision and promoting global eye health education.
Through our worldwide chapters, educational campaigns, and donation initiatives, we provide sunglasses, reading glasses, books, activities, and multilingual flyers to children and families across five continents.
We empower every child by ensuring they can see clearly, which supports their full learning potential. Our work involves safeguarding children's vision and educating them on how to maintain their eye health for life.
Our Story
The idea for Eye Heroes Global began with a personal experience. One summer, our founder, Joelle, burned her eyes at the beach after spending hours under the sun. It was a frightening moment that opened her eyes to how easily children can harm their vision without realizing it.
What started as a painful lesson soon grew into a mission. Joelle realized that while we teach kids to protect their skin from the sun and use sunscreen, few learn how to protect their eyes. Determined to change that, she began creating colorful educational flyers, storybooks, and awareness campaigns to make eye health accessible and engaging for children around the world.
Today, that initial spark has blossomed into a global movement. Eye Heroes Global (EHG) is a 501(c)(3) youth-run nonprofit dedicated to empowering communities and students in countries spanning five continents. We deliver comprehensive support, including vision aids (sunglasses and reading glasses), storybooks, activities, and vital educational resources.
